2005 OCU Fall Complete & Winter Hitting / Pitching Camps
Hello To All,
It’s that time again. The Oklahoma City University Baseball Camps are just around the corner. Just like the last 5 years, the Oklahoma Thunder Baseball Academy will be handling the registration and organization process of the 2005 Oklahoma City University Baseball Camps. We have had such great feedback regarding our Hitting and Pitching Camps and every year we are asked about doing a complete baseball camp that incorporates defensive skills instruction. Well, we are happy to announce that OCU now has lights on the field so we are excited to introduce a Fall Complete Camp. This camp is focused on all the fundamentals of baseball. The Fall Complete Camp will cover all aspects of baseball including pitching, hitting, position specific defense and base running. Players sign up for one night a week for 6 weeks. The nights are Monday-Thursday. Each night will go from 6:30 to 8:30. The camp starts Monday, September 12th and ends Thursday, October 20th. Camp is open to all. Registration deadline for the Fall Complete Camp is August 24th. Each night is limited to 25 campers. Complete teams are welcome.
The well known Winter Hitting Camp will run for eight consecutive weeks starting on October 30th and will end on December 16th with December 17th and 18th reserved for make up dates if weather causes any of the regular scheduled sessions to be canceled. This camp is well known for its outstanding hitting instruction by Keith Lytle, Greg Neuman and staff. This year we are also excited about our pitching camp. With OCU Head Coach Denny Crabaugh instructing this pitching camp it’s sure to be as outstanding as the hitting camp. So, if you are a pitcher then you will want to attend this eight week camp. The pitching camp will be held on eight consecutive Saturday’s beginning on Saturday, October 29th and ends on December 17th.
We will be changing up the registration process this year. First, we will accept checks as payment for all the camps. Second, all registrations need to have the Medical Release signed and dated. They need to be mailed along with payment made out to Oklahoma Thunder Baseball to the address located below. Everyone that desires to attend this year’s camps must have registration in by the cut-off dates as follows. Fall Complete Camp registration deadline is August 24th. Winter Hitting and Pitching Camp registration deadline is September 30th.
All returning campers from last years Winter Hitting and Pitching Camp will be guaranteed the same day and time spot that you attended last year. If your registration is not received by the deadline your spot will be given up to those on our waiting list. If you want to change your time spot you will be placed on a waiting list in the order your registration form was received.
All campers that would like to attend the Winter Hitting and Pitching Camp but did not attend last year will be placed on a waiting list in the order that your registration form was received. You will note your first, second, third choice time spots on your registration form and we will try our best to get you in your desired spot. The Fall Complete Camp is open to all so get your registration forms in to secure your spot.
Every year the Winter Hitting and Pitching camp is FULL. So, please do not miss getting your registration in by the deadline. We are trying to make it fair for everyone.
